They're known for their mischievous personalities, hidden treasures of gold, and distinctive appearance. These tiny guys are usually described not as friendly helpers, but as clever tricksters. They're basically fairies; creatures believed to inhabit the hidden magical world that exists alongside humans. They're known to live alone, spending their time making shoes for other fairies. Because of their job, they are sometimes described as fairy cobblers who can be heard tapping away with tiny hammers in the forest.
